ENMAX is a Canadian company based in Alberta. It provides electricity, natural gas, and renewable energy services across the province. The company offers a solution to customers living in high-density urban areas, allowing them to return their surplus renewable energy to the grid.
The goal was to create a 2D animation explainer video showcasing how ENMAX discovered a method to return surplus energy to the grid through a secondary network.

Style
The client wanted a design similar to Canada's First Hybrid Electric Gas Turbine project. I started with sketches and illustrations based on pictures provided by the client.
Below are two examples of my illustration process:

I use Google Slides to create pitch decks for my presentations. It's useful because the client can add comments. Here is the link to my pitch deck template.

Tip!
If you want to make an illustration smaller, consider removing details to create a cleaner view.
Animation
I animated this project using Adobe After Effects. To speed up my work flow, I use plugins like Overlord, Joysticks 'n Sliders and Limber.
Overlord allows me to transfer assets from Adobe Illustrator to Adobe After Effects in one-click. Joysticks 'n Sliders and Limber are rigging tools. The first one is particularly effective for rigging facial expressions, while the second excels at rigging arms and legs.
