Occasionally, I participate in the Monday's Challenge. Each Monday, a theme and a color palette are provided, and participants have a week to create a 5-second animation.
The theme for this animation is "Rugby World Cup".
Role: illustration & animation
Idea
I began by sketching my ideas and creating a scenario for an animation loop.
Next, I took pictures of my scenario and imported them into Adobe Premiere Pro to craft an animatic video.
Style
I started by sketching and creating a moodboard, searching for characters with straight lines and solid shapes.

After researching and sketching, I opened Adobe Illustrator to illustrate two rugby players.
I designed them to move their bodies easily and change poses.
I follow the same process to rig my characters in Adobe After Effects. Each part of the character is separated and named in Adobe Illustrator.
After finding a style, I followed my scenario to create the illustrations.
Animation
When the illustration was completed, I imported them into Adobe After Effects. To animate elements, I used the plugin Bendio. Unlike the CC Bend effect, Bendio follows the shape layer while it moves.
